Jane Cairns (Studio 4-037), as part of 'haptic/tacit', is exhibiting a new series of specially made wall pieces informed by direct observations of the factories, wharves and jetties that occupy the space between the land and the water outside her studio. Taking Edgelands (2011) by poets Paul Farley and Michael Symmons Roberts as it’s starting point, the exhibition features sculptural ceramics from haptic/tacit founder members and three invited artists. The work reflects the liminal, often disregarded spaces at the fringes of our built environment. These are places of quiet resilience and transformation—where remnants of past industries meet pockets of wildness, and where change is constant yet unnoticed. Exhibition dates: 18th March - 4th May, 11-1pm, 1.30-6pm. County Hall Pottery, County Hall, Belvedere Road London SE1 7GP. countyhallpottery.com/edgelands
